A Commitment to Service
In addition to providing high quality legal representation to individuals and families, the team at Ellis Family Law believes strongly in giving back to the communities in which we live and work. This means not only supporting various organizations financially, but also donating time to events and causes that help those in need and build stronger communities.
In the past, our attorneys and staff have supported and held leadership roles in the following:
Durham Meals on Wheels
Compass Center for Women and Families
Habitat for Humanity
Durham Family Law Clinic
Chatham County Domestic Violence Center
Wake County Street Law Program
Women Roofers of Rutherford County
Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties
Below are pictures of great times we had attending various service events in and around the Durham area. We encourage family, friends, clients, and other members of our community to join us in an upcoming service project. For more information, please contact our office.

Feed The Need Gala
The Feed The Need Gala is annual event founded by Gray Ellis for the purpose of raising awareness and funding to eliminate the challenges of hunger among our elderly community members. The event provides a fun and exciting opportunity for business leaders, families, and friends to spend time together while supporting an exceptional cause that positively impacts our neighbors every day. The event has become the largest single fundraising event in the history of Meals on Wheels Durham. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event could not occur in 2021, resulting in significant fundraising lost. However, it is anticipated that the event will occur again on February 19, 2022!
