Led By Board Certified Family Law Attorney

Like doctors, lawyers in North Carolina are certified as to their experience and training. Alyscia "Gray" Ellis, an attorney with more than 10 years of legal experience, is additionally certified as a specialist in family law by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization, a designation conferred on only five practicing attorneys in Durham County. To be certified in family law, a lawyer must:

  • Fulfill continuing education requirements in family law
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in family law trials
  • Be favorably evaluated by judges and other family law attorneys
  • Pass a written examination in family law

Alyscia "Gray" Ellis, the founder of Ellis Family Law, is a member of the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialists, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Durham County Bar Association.
